Egypt’s Christians Flee amid Islamic Threat

By cbn.com

66080473-series-blasts.jpgEgypt’s Christians are looking for ways to leave the country over concerns radical Muslims are gaining power in wake of President Hosni Mubarak’s ouster.

Human rights lawyers say they’re receiving calls from hundreds of Christians seeking help in getting out the majority Muslim nation.

“They are insisting on leaving Egypt because the risks of staying here are too great,” Naguib Gabriel, a Coptic human rights lawyer, told Egypt Daily News.

“Many Christians are afraid of the future because of the fanatics in the mosques,” he said.

Since Mubarak was forced from power, at least 20 Coptic Christians have been killed in sectarian violence
