Men are hunted after street attack
Police have released images of men they want to speak to about an assault.
The 23-year-old victim was walking along Wellington Street, near to its junction with Chatham Street, in central Leicester, after leaving a bar.
He was approached by a group of four or five men, who punched and kicked him before making off.
The victim suffered a fractured eye socket and needed treatment at Leicester Royal Infirmary.
A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
The attackers were Asian and aged between 25 and 30.
Detective Constable Craig Hurst, who is investigating the incident, said: "We have released CCTV stills in the hope someone will recognise any of these men.
"Perhaps you were in the area, making your way home from a night out and saw what happened.
"Do you remember seeing a group of men matching these descriptions? If you have any information at all, then we really need to speak to you."
Det Con Hurst can be contacted on 0116 222 2222.

The time has come to stop turning the other cheek. We are not dealing with an enemy who understands peace or mercy. Christianity needs to fight fire with fire. There was a reason the crusades were launched, it was to protect Christians from persecution by Muslims, irrespective of what the Islamic propaganda machine says.
