Angry Muslim groups in Indonesia have turned out in greater numbers on the eve of US
President George W. Bush's visit as thousands protested and police deployed in force to protect the presidential palace.
Bush is scheduled to visit Indonesia for a few hours Monday on his way home from the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (
APEC) summit in Hanoi, and will spend most of his time at the Summer Palace in the resort town of Bogor.

Muslim political groups and some hardline religious leaders have condemned the visit, and President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono for extending the invitation.

In South Jakarta, more than 5,000 supporters of the Islamic political party PKS (the Prosperous Justice Party) rallied on the grounds of a mosque to protest the visit.

The protestors, including families with young children, listened to anti-Bush speakers stirring up the crowd from a podium set up for the occasion.

Meanwhile, another 5,000 Muslims from the Muslim Forum, an umbrella organisation grouping some 80 Islamic groups -- mostly harliners and conservatives -- marched from a busy roundabout in central Jakarta to the presidential palace about two kilometers north, to protest the visit.

At least six trucks and six buses full of police were dispatched to the roundabout at the start of the rally, while a barbed-wire barricade was erected on the street at the front of the palace, guarded by hundreds more police.

"Wanted: Dead or Alive" showed a poster adorned with a picture of Bush, while other another in English read "Bush: Muslim's enemy number one".

In Makassar, the capital of South Sulawesi province, thousands of members of the hardline Hizbuth Tahrir movement marched from a mosque yelling anti-Bush slogans interspersed with shouts of " Allahu Akbar" (God is great), Elshinta radio reported.

In Surabaya, East Java radio reports said about 1,000 Muslims from Islamic Elements, a forum of several Islamic groups, held a street march from the governor's office to the US consulate.

Smaller protests were also reported in Jombang and Bojonegoro in East Java, ElShinta reported.

The US president's brief visit to Indonesia has triggered widespread protests, including daily street demonstrations and a threat to move a no-confidence motion against Yudhoyono.

Comments

Evidence that George W. Bush not only knew of attack in advance, but had been in on its planning and its intended outcome:

1. A prominent federal judge has told a conference of liberal lawyers that President Bush’s rise to power was similar to the accession of dictators such as Mussolini and Hitler.

2. Polls show a fifth of Germans believe Washington ordered the attacks. Book author states: "If what I say is right, the whole US government should end up behind bars." Reported by Kate Connolly (The Telegraph - UK 10-17-3)

3. Former treasury secretary Paul O'Neil says invasion of Iraq was planned the first days of the Bush Administration, in an exclusive interview on "60 Minutes." (Jan 10, 2004.)

4. Given that George Bush and his staff knew a terrorist attack was underway *before* their motorcade left their hotel (the Colony Beach and Tennis Resort) why did he show up at the Booker School that day?

5. An academic group of 50 (ST911.org) says "We believe these events may have been orchestrated by the administration in order to manipulate the American people into supporting policies at home and abroad." (Deseret News; Jan. 28, 2006)

Mesh, Islam has no Bible, if you meant the Quran 15:3

15:3 Leave them alone, to enjoy (the good things of this life) and to please themselves: let (false) hope amuse them: soon will knowledge (undeceive them).

That verse says nothing about killing children as a matter of fact it speaks of tolerating non Muslims. It is the false the Biblcal god who murder's children...

Numbers 31:17-18 "Now kill all the boys [innocent kids]. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man."

Mesh Mesh you are either very confused or very desperate.
