Egyptians Persecute Christians
Medhat Azeez Ibrahim is 38 years old. He, a Christian, is the father of 4 children. He was arrested by Egyptian Federal police in December 2005. Since then, his family has heard nothing about his whereabouts
They do not know how to contact him. They have no idea what authorities’ offices to contact to give them reputable information.
His family lives in a predominantly Muslim neighborhood. Muslims have attacked him, his wife and children numerous times. The Christian household continued to stand firm in their Christian convictions; however, it often meant wondering for their very lives.
The Muslim Brotherhood was particularly hostile. It is the most feared organization of Islamic killers in Egypt. Even during the last supposedly free elections, the Egyptian leaders forbade Brotherhood members to cast their ballots at the voting booths. They knew that the Brotherhood wanted to put in office their own in order to turn Egypt into a bloodbath for Allah.
Muslims would attack Ibrahim’s house during night hours particularly, throwing stones at his balcony, taunting with calls in the dark. When the Christian attempted to defend himself, they attacked him all the more — with knives and sticks.
When his sister asked for police protection, the Brotherhood told police that the Christian had cursed Allah. He had not. But the police, of course, believed his accusers. They would not then protect him. He was so abused by the Muslims that he had to go to the local hospital where he was arrested and taken to a location unknown to his family.
"These are daily, weekly, and monthly crimes committed by Egyptian federal police against unarmed Christians. The Egyptian government and federal police endanger the lives of Christians in Egypt although Egypt receives $2 billion a year from USA. Egypt receives $400 million a year from Canada for higher education which became a forbidden job for Christians. It also receives other millions from western countries. Egyptian government finances Islamic organizations while churches are financed through donations," according to the Middle East Christian Association.
