(01-03) 09:01 PST OAKLAND -- Two more members of a Black Muslim organization were jailed today in connection with the vandalism of two Oakland markets that sold alcohol, police said.
The arrests of Dyahen Namer Williams, 19, of Berkeley and Demetrius Lamar Harvey, 19, bring to six the number of men affiliated with Your Black Muslim Bakery implicated in the Nov. 23 trashing of San Pablo Liquor and New York Market in West Oakland.
Williams was being held this morning in lieu of $200,000 bail at Glenn Dyer Detention Facility in downtown Oakland. Harvey was being held in lieu of $200,000 bail at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin.
Both are expected to be charged with vandalism, false imprisonment and civil rights and hate-crime violations in connection with attacks, in which a group of men in suits and bow ties demanded that the outlets stop selling liquor to African Americans.
Williams and Harvey could be arraigned this week in Alameda County Superior Court, although their appearances could be delayed until later this month so that they could appear with four other suspects who have been charged in the case.
On Dec. 7, police arrested Kahlil Raheem, 24, and Yasir Hakeem Azzem, 19, in connection with the vandalism. In November, Yusuf Bey IV, 19, the son of the late Black Muslim leader Yusuf Bey, and Donald Cunningham, 73, an associate of the elder Bey's North Oakland bakery, surrendered.
At least two other suspects are being sought, police said.
Investigators identified the suspects with the help of San Pablo Liquor's surveillance video, said Sgt. Dom Arotzarena.
The owners of both of the targeted liquor stores are Muslims
